To Edit Compatible Unit Rules
The Compatible Unit Rule Editor can be used to make the following changes to an existing unit rule:
- Associate a different compatible unit
- Select a different class code
- Add an attribute to the rule’s set of rule attributes
- Change the value of a rule attribute
- Delete an attribute from the rule’s set of rule attributes
Editing a unit rule has no effect of course on compatible unit data.
- From the Tools menu, select CU Rule Editor to open the Compatible Units Rule Editor.
- In the Feature box, select the applicable feature type for the rule that you want to edit.
- In the Compatible Unit Rules grid, select the rule that you want to edit.
- To change the rule’s associated compatible unit, double-click the current value in the CU ID column of the Compatible Unit Rules grid and select another unit ID from the list.
- To change the class code designation, double-click the current category in the Class Code column of the Compatible Unit Rules grid and select a different category from the list.
- To add a new rule attribute, click the New button below the Rule Attributes grid, double-click the default attribute in the Name column, and then select a different attribute from the list.
- To change the value of a rule attribute, double-click the current value in the Value column of the Rule Attributes grid and select or type a different value.
- To delete a rule attribute, select its row in the Rule Attributes grid and click the Delete button below the grid.
- Click Apply to save your changes or click OK to save your changes and close the dialog box.
